Everything MUST Fit! That’s both the title of the game and the tasks at hand. You must do anything you can to make all the items on hand fit into the space allotted to you.

I played the Everything MUST Fit! demo, developed and published by Janbeh Games, LLC, and I loved the creative spin on a standard puzzle game. Instead of just taking the items and making them fit a space, you will transform, break, and create new items to make it work.

Something doesn’t fit in its original form? That’s okay; some of the items can be combined to alter their form; maybe it’s breaking a broom when you combine it with a hammer. Maybe it’s melting a snowman with a match; maybe it’s making a fatter mouse by feeding him cheese.

There is also the ability to change day to night, meaning some objects will have different forms depending on the time of day. I loved these 2 mechanics; it’s not something I recall seeing in other games in this genre.

80 puzzles will be available in the full game, and the demo has a nice little sampling of them. There are no timers, so there is no stress. I’d say there is no pressure, but we still have the pressure of “Everything MUST fit.”

The controls are simple and intuitive. The directions are clear, and there is even a little list on the right-hand side of the screen showing the combinations you’ve already discovered for items you have, or their transformations. You will also have blanks showing you how many you have yet to find, meaning there still may be an undiscovered shape that will help you fit one of your items into your space.

There is an extensive hint system, with no cooldown, allowing you to reveal a single square clue, up to the entire solution. You can also skip levels with no penalty, allowing you to come back to them at any time. Sometimes fresh eyes reveal things you missed the first time looking at the puzzle. Some of the puzzles also have multiple solutions, like solving them in the daytime vs. nighttime.

I loved the brief time I spent with this demo, and I’m really looking forward to playing the whole game when it drops.

The demo is available now; I encourage you to try it and wishlist it.

Until next time…be good to yourself and be good to each other.
