Ride through the apocalypse with your friends on a school bus in BUS: Bro U Survived. Herbarium Games brings you this co-op story-driven adventure, and I was excited to dive into the Prologue recently. Playable with 1-4 players, you will fight zombies, gather resources, solve puzzles and help other survivors while you try to uncover the truth behind the current fate of Fang Island.
Starting off at the menu, there is a little bit of character customization. A decent variety of options to give your character a little bit of personality and flair.

The Prologue took me approximately 1 hour and was a fairly straightforward and easy play through that left me wanting to play more. You start off trying to locate the school bus. To do this, you fight your way past your first few angry green baddies with a trusty metal pipe and find a way to get through/over a few locked gates. Once you find the bus, you need to locate the 4 tires and the engine before you can hit the road on your way to safety. You will also gather materials, supplies, and rescue your first survivor in the first level. It’s a nice way to learn the controls at a slower pace.

Speaking of controls, I chose to use an Xbox controller after my first attempt using keyboard and mouse. I am not a seasoned PC player, so I found it much easier to play with a controller. Options in the settings allow you to set the prompts to your input of choice, so you don’t have to guess when using a controller. You can choose between keyboard, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo. I think this was fantastic because you don’t have to guess your inputs when you choose a controller.
Multiple accessibility options for colour options were a nice touch, making this more accessible than I expected. I had to play around with some of the movement settings, so it felt better and smoother. I tend to get a lot of motion sickness with certain games, so having the ability to change them was nice.
The game adapts to the number of players who play together. The puzzles are more complex as you have more people on your team, and the enemies are more dangerous.

The prologue is currently available on Steam; I would encourage you to try it out.
